F A Q's

What is clean beauty?

At Maiden, Mother, Crone clean beauty means products that are formulated without toxins; no endocrine disruptors, no known carcinogens, no harmful ingredients. This also means that we source products from companies that formulate using sustainably sourced, botanical ingredients, that are organic when possible.  Many of the companies we partner with are small batch, local businesses aligned with our eco-conscious best practices.

You mention Divine Feminine - do you do men’s cuts?

Yes.  The Divine Feminine is an archetype for female empowerment, but we also do men’s hair.  Men can be feminists and allies and support women, and also have great hair.

What is PPD?

PPD is the abbreviation for Para-phenylenediamine. It is a chemical used in permanent hair color.  Some individuals can be allergic to this chemical, and as such, shouldn't use conventional hair dyes.  If you want to know more please see the PPD-Free Options we offer.
